Partnership

One year after the sketchbook series created for Penninghen students, the leather goods house founded by Jeanne Signoles renews its partnership with the school through a collaborative editorial and creative project.

Creative Synergy Between Two Brand Universes

This new collaboration aims to establish a dialogue between the artistic sensibility of Penninghen’s students — inspired by the strong symbols of their school — and the artisanal excellence of L/UNIFORM, carried by a singular identity and a confidently defined style.

Supervised by Mathieu Delion (Penninghen alumnus and Artistic Director), Béline Dolat (Fashion Director at Les Echos), Creative Director Éric Pillault, and architect & agency founder Arthur Van Peteghem — all leading professionals — this collaboration made it possible to offer students the opportunity to test the creative and projective methods that distinguish Penninghen.

Working directly in a five-day workshop with L/UNIFORM and its founder, Jeanne Signoles, to enrich the brand’s image provides a uniquely pertinent and coherent educational framework that concretely complements the school’s curriculum.

The goal: create synergy between the two brand universes, converge skills, and cultivate a shared standard of excellence — these are the foundations of the collaboration between L/UNIFORM and Penninghen.

Creative proposals — whether for typography design, layout of spaces and shop windows, editorial messaging or press releases — express the richness and coherence necessary to spark desire and appropriation.

An Experimental Field in Workshop Spirit

For the summer and through the start of the school year, the L/UNIFORM boutique on Quai Voltaire in Paris is transformed by Penninghen students into an experimental workshop. Drawing on the graphic codes of both brands, students have imagined and designed new lettering and chromatic variations to be applied to iconic pieces, and staged them in reference to the “Penninghen spirit.”

The shop windows will be on display throughout summer until the start of term, forming a visual dialogue between the codes of each brand. This creative project is also planned to extend to Aoyama, Tokyo — continuing the conversation in Japan. Playful yet charged with a contemporary and artistic spirit, the project brings the two brands’ codes into discourse, exploring shared values that bind L/UNIFORM and Penninghen formally and artistically.
